Three directors of Punjab and Maharashtra Cooperative (PMC) Bank, Dr Trupti Bane, a gynaecologist, Mukti Bavisi, a chartered accountant, and Jagdish Mookhey (72), a tax consultant, were produced before the Esplanade court on Wednesday, which sent them to judicial custody. Police said their role in misappropriation of funds has not yet been established. They were arrested on December 3 “No diversion of funds to these accused’s accounts or siphoning of funds by them has been found yet. Our probe is still on,” said an EOW police officer.
