SRK, Ranbir & Saif rejected THIS Kjo movie
'2 States' celebrated its 10th anniversary recently, revealing intriguing casting revelations. Initially offered to Bollywood stalwarts Shah Rukh Khan, Saif Ali Khan, and Ranbir Kapoor, the romantic drama based on Chetan Bhagat's book saw Arjun Kapoor eventually taking the lead alongside Alia Bhatt. Vishal Bhardwaj was initially set to direct but creative differences altered the course. Despite initial refusals, Arjun Kapoor's casting proved fortuitous, yielding significant success. Producer Sajid Nadiadwala expressed reservations initially but later acknowledged Kapoor's aptness for the role. The film, capturing Krish Malhotra's and Ananya's cross-cultural romance during MBA studies at IIM-Ahmedabad, grossed Rs 175 crore worldwide. Inspired by Bhagat's own love story, the film resonated with audiences, cementing its status as a beloved Bollywood classic despite its journey through different casting choices.
