'Padosan will always remain one of Mehmood’s classics'

Anwar Ali, brother of Mehmood, started his acting career as a child artist in films like Seema and Ek Hi Raasta. He approached Mehmood with the desire to become an actor and was asked to work as a peon in their production house, Mumtaz Films. Anwar Ali had hoped to get a role in the film Padosan, but the role went to Sunil Dutt. However, he later got a song in Jyoti Swaroop's next film. Padosan remains a classic and showcases Mehmood's infectious laughter.
