Besides ‘Varisu/Varasudu’ ‘Shaakuntalam’ is yet another multi-lingual film coming from Tollywood lately. The film is said to be a mythological drama film written and directed by senior director Gunasekhar. The film is being made based on the popular old play ‘Shakuntala’ by Kalidasa which features Samantha in the titular role while Dev Mohan plays Dushyanta in the film.The film also has a happening cast such as Mohan Babu, Madhoo, Gautami, Aditi Balan and Ananya Nagalla in the supporting roles that are extensively shot in and around Hyderabad.
