Actress passes away of Amazonian frog venom ingestion

Mexican actress Marcela Alcázar Rodríguez, 33, died after participating in a Kambo cleansing ritual in Durango, Mexico. The ritual involved ingesting Amazonian frog venom, which caused severe diarrhea and ultimately led to her death. A shaman who administered the ritual fled the scene and is currently being sought by police. The Durango Film Guild paid tribute to the actress.
