The superstar's daughter Aishwarya Rajinikanth received the award on his behalf at an event held on Sunday in Chennai. The Governor of Telangana and the Lieutenant Governor of Puducherry, Dr. Tamilisai Soundararajan, was the chief guest of the ceremony.
