Maya Govind passes away due to heart attack

Veteran lyricist Maya Govind passed away this morning (April 7) at her residence in Mumbai. She was 82 and was undergoing treatment for a brain clot for the past four months. Speaking to ETimes, her son shared that she had also developed a urine infection that complicated things further. "She was deteriorating slowly because the clot in her brain was causing her problems. At times, it seemed like her condition would improve but then it would get worse.
