Veteran producer-director and distributor Rajesh Mittal passed away at 69 in Bombay on August 2, 2024. Known for his significant contributions to Indian cinema in the 1980s and 1990s, Mittal produced 45 small-budget films. His funeral took place on August 3, 2024, at Charai Hindu Samshaan Bhoomi, Chembur, Mumbai.
